Itinerary
Join our Eco Tour for a day exploring the rain forest and amazing landscapes of the Cape Tribulation wilderness area.
Departing from your Cairns accommodation we head
north to the Daintree Forest to the Daintree Discovery Centre, which offers you chance to you learn about the amazing rain forest in its world class interpretive centre including the new Aerial Walkway.
Climb the unique Rain forest Tower, giving you access to the rain forest canopy and magnificent views. Here a guided tour and morning will be provided.
Continuing through the forest to Cape
Tribulation, you will have chance to walk on this world-renowned rain forest beach and admire the coastline and fringing coral reef from the Kulki Lookout.
With our special access at a private
rain forest property, enjoy a short walk along a delightful rain forest creek before enjoying a delicious tropical lunch with choice of quality steak, fish or vegetarian meals, fresh salads and
fruit platter, followed by coffee or Daintree Tea.
After a relaxing lunch we continue through the Alexandra Ranges to the Alexandra Lookout for spectacular views over the Daintree River estuary,
Snapper Island and beyond to the Coral Sea.
Get an understanding of this areas wildlife environment on a one hour cruise along the Daintree River, a habitat of birds, tree snakes, unique plants
and of course the estuarine crocodile, often seen basking on the banks of the river or waiting submerged in the shallows, so keep your camera ready for some amazing shots.
Relax back on board your
air-conditioned vehicle as we head back to Cairns, crossing the Daintree River by cable ferry, one of the last of its kind.
Please note that this tour is not suitable for cruise ships visiting
Cairns as the duration is often longer than their scheduled time in port, so is provided for visitors on a pre or post cruise visit to Cairns.
