This tour visits the main destinations in the port of Burnie and its surrounding
regions, located on the northern coast of Tasmania. After a tour of the main city sights we head inland, past rolling hills, to the magnificent Cradle Mountain.

Itinerary
This tour visits the main destinations in the port of Burnie and its surrounding regions, located on the northern coast of Tasmania.
Burnie Airport is the gateway to the key Tasmanian wilderness destination, Cradle Mountain and the funky town of Sheffield. After a tour of the main city sights we head inland, past rolling
hills, to the magnificent Cradle Mountain.
Take in the majestic splendour of the towering peaks, enjoy a short walk around the enchanting Dove Lake, visit the original bush hut of an early
pioneer. Dove Lake is a sublimely beautiful natural lake that was naturally formed by glacier activity thousands of years ago & sits at the foot of Cradle Mountain in Tasmania. The lake is
located within the Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park & is part of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area
We visit the very English character town of Sheffield, famous for its
murals. Years ago the economy was very poor and the residents were seeking a way to boost revenue and came upon the idea of having artists paint murals on the sides of the historic buildings.
There are many excellent murals, and finding them is somewhat like an Easter egg hunt.
